President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has been officially acclaimed as the new president of the Union of West Africa Football Federations (WAFU) Zone B.
The acclamation was done on Saturday during the Wafu Zone B General Assembly currently taking place in Accra.
Attendance for the General Assembly has been drawn from the various WAFU Zone B members including Ivory Coast, Benin, Togo, Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, and host Ghana whose Federation/Association heads and respective general secretaries have attended.
Before the latest appointment, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku served as the 2nd Vice President of the Wafu Zone B under the leadership of President Djibrilla Hima Hamidou, who also serves as the president of the Niger Football Federation.
The latest development is yet another feat chalked by Kurt Okraku who was elected President of the Ghana Football Association in 2019.
Since his ascension to the football throne in Ghana, he has gradually changed the narrative by inspiring a positive change for football in the country.
